Eurotec Environmental wins 2017 Green Apple Environmental Services Award
Eurotec Environmental was delighted to receive a 2017 Green Apple Environmental Services Award during an award ceremony at the Houses of Parliament on the afternoon of Monday 6thNovember. The award was in recognition of Eurotec’s successful creation of the UK’s first Sterilwave Clinical Waste Plant at Barts Health NHS Trust, Whipps Cross Hospital and the many benefits it has brought to the Hospital.
Eurotec Environmental General Manager, Paul Barker, said :- “We are delighted to receive this prestigious Green Apple Award from The Green Organisation, one of the oldest and most respected independent environmental groups in the world. It is fantastic to have our Sterilwave clinical waste service recognised in this way and our thanks go to Bart’s Health NHS Trust and, of course, Whipps Cross Hospital in particular for their support all the way through this project. We are especially thankful to Fiona Daly and Trust Waste Manager Neil Allen. Also, our thanks go to the Trust’s Total Waste Management company, Skanska UK, who have also been strong advocates of the project from the very early stages.”
“It was a pleasure to invite Boguslaw Lorecki and Aurelien Bataille from our technology partner Bertin Technologies to the presentation. Bertin manufacture the Sterilwave machines that are at the heart of our service and we could not wish for a more supportive and pro-active partner. Our biggest thanks, however, must go to our fantastic Operating Team on-site at Whipps Cross Hospital who are the people who actually do all the hard work within our Sterilwave Plant so a big well done and thank you to them.”
